How COLOR OFF Works

COLOR OFF components react with oxidized dyes, reducing them to a "colorless" leuco form, weakening their bond with the hair. Subsequently, deep cleansing shampoo helps remove these "colorless" dye forms from the hair structure, minimizing damage.

When to Choose a Color Remover Instead of Bleach

💡 Professional Tips

1. Color Removal: If you wish to remove previous color before re-dyeing, choose a new shade one tone lighter than your desired result. Depending on pigment buildup, 1 to 3 removal procedures may be necessary.
2. Color Correction: Another unique function of COLOR OFF is final color correction. Sometimes, especially with porous hair, dye may appear too intense. With COLOR OFF, you can soften the color and achieve the perfect result.
3. Securing the Decolorization Result: After the COLOR OFF procedure, artificial dye is broken down but may remain in the hair structure. For better removal, thoroughly wash with DEEP CLEANSING shampoo for at least 5–10 minutes. Repeat up to 5 times depending on color buildup.
4. Color Stabilization: Since dyes remain in their initial unoxidized form after the procedure, it's challenging to visually control the "color return" mechanism during rinsing. Use a 3% CRYSTAL oxidizing emulsion. Apply to the hair and leave for 3–5 minutes: 1) If the hair darkens, oxidized dyes remain and need further breakdown with COLOR OFF, followed by thorough washing with deep cleansing shampoo (repeat up to 3 times); 2) If the hair maintains a stable color after washing, the process is completed.
5. Decolorizing Bleaching: Use COLOR OFF before lightening to minimize hair damage. First, remove artificial pigment with COLOR OFF, then apply CRYSTAL Light bleaching powder as usual. This approach achieves the desired color level while reducing the harmful effects of bleaching agents.
